Daniel Eklund is the Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of N1 Health. He has worked in the technology industry for more than 25 years and has split his time between building engineering teams and consulting, both for startups and for mature companies. In that time, he has seen the “S-curves” of technology adoption create both unforeseen and new possibilities and tremendous positive and negative disruption – this is what fascinates and drives him. As a technology leader and team leader, Daniel strives to stay close to the metal, and never lose his hard skills so that he can work with the next generation of disruptive technologies first-hand. Daniel has a particular passion for programming language theory and where data systems and formal logic systems intersect.
Prior to joining N1 Health, Daniel was the first employee and engineering practice lead for Think Big Analytics, a big data consulting company that worked with a diverse set of Fortune 500 companies to shepherd their adoption of cloud scale data processing. He helped to grow the company to over 100 employees before being acquired by Teradata. In that time, he both architected technology and formulated organizational approaches to his clients’ burgeoning data teams. He has presented at conferences, internationally and at home, on the transformative approaches that teams need to take to leverage the data that they often leave unanalyzed.
